Operations for Straub Tap Room

After extensive planning and preparation, the Straub Brewery Visitor Center & Tap Room is open with casual indoor and beer garden service. The Tap Room service model has been significantly modified to comply with health and safety guidelines as recommended by Governor Wolf, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and CDC, several modifications.  The Tap Room will reopen with a limited food menu and modified service. Following government recommendations, a thorough and extensive list of procedures and protocols will be implemented to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff. Here’s what we’re doing t

  •     Tap Room hours will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday.
  •     For the elderly and high-risk patrons, the Tap Room will open at 11:00 am on Sundays.
  •     During this Green Phase, the Tap Room will be self-serve.
  •     “Follow the Bavarian Man” signage is posted in parking areas and will direct you to the main entrance.
  •     All guests are directed to the new Host/Hostess station located at the main entrance near the Gift Shop.
  •     If a table is not immediately available, a text message will be sent to patrons to notify table availability.
  •     The door on the far left of the Tap Room (near the to-go coolers) will be the entrance and lane for customers to order, pick up food and beer.
  •     The door on the far left of the Tap Room is also designated as the main exit from the Tap Room.
  •     Limited food will include pretzels, nacho chips, Brat sandwiches, Grilled Cheese, or Hot Dog with Chips.
  •     After ordering, a text message will be sent to patrons to notify them when food is available for self-pickup.
  •     Trays, utensils, cups, menus, etc. will all be a one-time use.
  •     Until further notice Brewery tours and the Eternal Tap will remain closed.
  •     The open garage doors are not to be used as entry-exit points except in the case of an emergency.
  •     All front and back of the house staff are required to wear masks per CDC Guidelines.
  •     We encourage our customers to follow the State and CDC Guidelines on the use of masks.
  •     Wrist temperatures of patrons will be taken before being seated using “no-contact” technology.
  •     Plexiglass has been installed at the Bar and Gift Shop register as a preventative measure.
  •     Patrons will use the restroom by coming in and out of the main Tap Room door.
  •     Restrooms will be sanitized every 30 minutes per CDC guidelines.
  •     Tables will be sanitized and clearly marked as such after each patron leaves.
  •     The capacity inside is limited to 20 people; however additional outside seating is available.
  •     No tabs will be held.  Customers will pay each time they make a purchase.
  •     Ultraviolet sterilizers have been installed in our HVAC unit to “clean ” the air.
